The cottage is in part of a converted barn in friendly and peaceful surroundings. It sleeps a total of 4 in 2 double bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds, sharing a shower and toilet. It has a well equipped kitchenette, and comfy lounge with TV, fan and a safe. All bedding and towels are supplied and the rooms are serviced daily. Electric blankets and heaters are available to keep you snug in the winter months. Self serve Continental breakfasts by arrangement Guests are most welcome to use the tennis court and swimming pool. Children love to explore the garden and farmyard with its ducks, chickens, turkeys and geese. and if you are feeling more adventurous, hike around the pineapple fields or just simply relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of country living! We are ideally situated for visitors to the Grahamstown Arts Festival who also want a peaceful break from the buzz of a hectic day at the shows and stalls. Lyndhurst Guest Cottage is situated on our beautiful
pineapple farm in the heart of the Sunshine Coast and Frontier Country 7km’s
from the Historical village of Bathurst with the oldest pub in South Africa.
Central to Grahamstown with it’s many cultural events which makes this cottage
ideal for the National Arts Festival, Graduation, Orientation and parents with
children returning to school and Port Alfred with it’s pristine beaches and the
renowned Royal Port Alfred Golf Club. Experience country living at its best in
this delightful two bedroom cottage which sleeps 5 comfortably. Its bright
interior and cosy charm will have you feeling right at home the moment you step
through the front door. All our beds have quality bed linen, and our guests are
pampered with luxurious embroidered bath sheets, hand towels and their own
toiletries. There are heaters and fans in all rooms and electric blankets on all
beds to keep you snug in the winter months. A shared PVR satellite service is
available for those sports fanatics. The cottage is serviced daily except for
Sunday’s and Public Holiday’s. A barbecue and seating area for those sultry
summer evening braais can be found at the back of the cottage. Children are not
forgotten at Lyndhurst. We have a small children's playground at the back of the
cottage and in the beautiful main grounds we have a large salt-water swimming
pool with a safe children's pool attached, changing facilities with toilets are
adjacent to the pool. A baby sitting service is offered should you wish to visit

The House on the Hill is a charming 1820 Settler cottage on our working pineapple farm. Overlooking tranquil cattle pastures, the fresh air is laced with the scent of Rose Geranium from our fields and essential oil distillery. Ideal for relaxing get-away and an
